At what age do you take your kids to go see the Dentist for the first time? My son is 3 1/2 and we just took him for his first checkup. He was nervous about the exam once he sat in the chair even though the Dentist didn’t do anything except looked at his teeth! He cried, of course! But his eyes lit up when he got his balloon, sticker and toothbrush. Hoping this first-time experience will help him prepare for the next one when he does get a cleaning!

As I child I was terrified of going to the dentist because I had a lot of problematic teeth and remember sitting in the dental chair dreading what had to be done to my teeth to fix them. Now as a parent, I try my best to educate my kids about the importance of brushing, limiting their sweets/juice so that they don’t have to go thru the trauma of getting crowns and fillings!

Anyway, I recently discovered a new online app called SingleCare that provides discounts on healthcare costs including dental, vision and video doctor visits. Plus, it helps you save money on your prescriptions at their partner pharmacies (including CVS, Walmart and Walgreens). By the way, did I mention it was free? You can find a dentist, eye doctor near you, or virtually connect with a doctor via online video chat to ask questions!

I really like that you can see the cost for each service upfront so there are NO surprise and are able to compare prices to see which pharmacy or healthcare provider works for you. The prices vary by location and service or prescription, but they are also deeply discounted! SingleCare can be a nice supplement to your existing insurance or if you currently don’t have insurance at all. This might just be the thing you need to save on your out of pocket costs!

You can book an appointment thru SingleCare and have piece of mind knowing the cost and how much you’ll save on your visit! To find out how much you can save, click here to sign up for a free membership and download the app! It’s so easy and takes less than 5 seconds to set up your account.

My favorite service that’s offer through the program is that you can also meet with a board-certified doctor within minutes, from the comfort of your own home by using the virtual on-demand video and chat feature. This service is deeply discounted and usually must less than what you might pay at an Urgent Care center! Plus, it’s a convenient option if you’re a busy parent like me. With three little ones, it’s hard to get them all ready and haul them to the doctor’s office just for a quick check up!

Here’s how you can get started for free

  1. Click here to SingleCare
  2. Create an account by entering your name, email, create a password
  3. Once you’re logged in, search for a prescription or click on any of the services to find a doctor or service near you.
  4. You’ll also find the cost of the service; how much you’ll save, and be able to book an appointment right away through the Dashboard.

SingleCare also offers a free mobile app, available on in the Apple Store and Google Play. You can download it to take advantage of all the features, plus use it as a pharmacy savings card at your local pharmacy store, including Walmart, Walgreens CVS, Rite Aid and Kroger! Basically, open up the app and show your card when you go to fill your prescription to save on the medications you need.

Click here to sign up and let me know how SingleCare has helped you in the comments below! I would love to hear about your experience.
