Update: Toys R Us has postponed their liquidation sale until further notice.
Toys R Us has officially started the process of closing it’s US Stores today, 3/22. Here’s what you need to know about the store’s going out of business sale and liquidation process.
- Be sure to use remaining rewards,
coupons, and gift cards! USA Today reported that the retailer plans to honor gift cards until mid-April, but it’s best to use them up ASAP. They will be worthless once the doors shutter! Spokesman for Toys R Us, Amy von Walter said they will no longer accept coupons, however it’s worth a shot to ask your cashier before you toss out those store coupons. - Liquidation sales were suppose to start Today, Thursday, March 22 for most stores, however some are delayed and are expected to start tomorrow Friday, March 23 at Toys R Us and Babies R Us locations nationwide, according to CNN Money.
- Toys R Us is expected to finish liquidating stores by the end of June, although some stores may close sooner, according to The Chicago Tribune.
- Stores will discount items 25-30% off week after week until everything is gone. Returns will not be accepted on any purchases made during this time.
